Jonathan Moody
Chair of Governors
After having taught in primary schools in the area since 1989, including 12 years as a Principal and Executive Principal, it is Mr Moody's privilege to serve the communities served by Maltby Manor and Maltby Lilly Hall as Chair of Governors. Mr Moody is looking forward to working in partnership with both schools to secure the best outcomes for our young people not only academically but in terms of their personal development as well. Outside of education, Mr Moody is also Secretary for a local charity and enjoys travelling, going to the theatre and cinema, reading, snooker and occasionally he can be found hosting quiz nights.

Clifford Meese
Vice Chair of Governors
Mr Meese has been a school governor since March 2022.
Mr Meese currently has one child who attends a school in the Trust.
Mr Meese would like to help our students by making sure they have the correct tools and learning skills available for them to succeed in their later school years so they have the best possible start in life.
In his personal life, Mr Meese is a Site Services Engineering Manager in the food industry for a company that supplies well-known brands to the major supermarket chains.

Liz Best
Community Governor
Miss Best has lived in Maltby since 2016 and now has 2 young children that attend school within the Trust. In her professional life Miss Best works within a Human Resources department for a global recycling company and often uses her professional skills to help support her role as a Governor. Miss Best has been a Governor since 2018 and her aim is to ensure all children in the community get the best education possible to give them a great start in life.

Kirsty Leahy
Community Governor
Ms Leahy has been in the role of Governor since 2016 for Maltby Lilly Hall Academy and 2021 for Maltby Manor Academy. Ms Leahy is passionate about the voice of the child being a golden thread throughout their educational journey and how keeping children safe in education is fundamental to this.

Andrea Nuttall
Community Governor
Miss Nuttall is an experienced educational professional with a track record of improving academic and personal outcomes for children. Both her children have attended MLT primary schools and are currently enroled in Maltby Academy. Miss Nuttall is committed to vision of the Trust and the community it serves. Miss Nuttall has a strong commitment to ensure all children receive a high-quality education. She will endeavour to utilise her skill set to provide challenge and support in order to make quality education a priority for all students in MLT. In her spare time, Miss Nuttall is a dedicated volunteer at a local animal rescue centre.

Claire Hannington
Parent Governor
Miss Hannington has lived in Maltby all of her life; receiving her own education in MLT schools. Miss Hannington has a young child who attends a school in the Trust.
Miss Hannington has been a Governor since March 2023.
In her professional life, Miss Hannington works as a Social Work Team Manager in a safeguarding children's service. She uses her professional background, experience, and skills, to support her role as Governor.
Miss Hannington is passionate about ensuring all children receive the best possible education and have the opportunities to fulfil their potential and beyond. -
Alice Denton
Staff Governor (Teacher)
After completing her BA Primary Education degree at Sheffield Hallam University, Miss Denton joined Maltby Lilly Hall Academy in 2015 as a Newly Qualified Teacher in Year 5. Since then, Miss Denton has taught across Key Stage 2 and is now the Lower Key Stage 2 Phase Leader. Miss Denton is passionate about ensuring all children have an exceptional education, that every child reaches their full potential and that they are fully prepared to be successful citizens in an ever-changing society.
Miss Denton was elected staff governor in 2018 and was then re-elected in 2022. Being a staff governor gives Miss Denton a holistic view of the school and allows her to play a part in improving the education of all students in a different manner compared to her day-to-day role as Teacher and Leader.

Catriona Wilby
Partnership Governor
Mrs Wilby, now an Associate Principal at Maltby Manor Academy, embarked on her educational journey more than a decade ago as a newly qualified teacher and has since played a key role in its growth and success. Her unwavering commitment to the school's mission of delivering quality education to every child has been exceptional. Mrs Wilby's expertise as a Key Stage 2 teacher consistently inspires and educates young minds, making a lasting impact on her pupils.
Beyond the classroom, Mrs Wilby actively enhances teaching and learning practice school-wide. Her contributions have been pivotal in maintaining top-tier teaching standards at Maltby Manor Academy, upholding a culture of educational excellence.
Mrs Wilby is not only an educator but also a community builder. She is deeply committed to the Maltby community and is dedicated to fostering a culture where every child can thrive. Her passion lies in creating equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their starting points, ensuring that each child has the chance to reach their full potential. -
Natalie McCaffery
Partnership Governor
Mrs McCaffery has lived all her life in Maltby. She has 2 children that attend the same school within the Trust that she attended as a child. In her professional life Mrs McCaffery works for an engineering company in human resources and accounts. Her professional skills help support her role as a Governor and assisted in the recruitment process of new teachers. Mrs McCaffery also volunteers at her children's primary school and often accompanies the school on external trips. Mrs McCaffery has been a Governor since 2021 and her aim is to ensure all children access the best education possible and all schools have the support to get the best out of each child.

Karen Maddison
Partnership Governor
Mrs Maddison has worked for the Trust for the past 10 years, first at Redwood as a Newly Qualified Teacher and then at Maltby Manor. She lives in the area and has two children, both of whom attended Trust schools and are now studying at college and university. Prior to a change in career, Mrs Maddison worked in the finance sector in debt recovery and has a range of skills that she can bring to her role as a teacher governor. She is passionate about ensuring all children receive the best possible education and have the opportunities to lead successful and fulfilling lives. In her current role, Mrs Maddison is an ECT mentor for new teachers starting out in their careers and believes teacher develop is essential to ensure all children have access to quality first teaching.

Nicola Hollinger
Partnership Governor
Nicola's professional skills, combined with her passion for making a difference to the lives of children at Maltby Manor, who need particular care and attention, make her an excellent choice for the role of Staff Governor. Being a Governor provides an opportunity for personal development, building skills and experience in areas such as project management, budgeting, and working as part of a leadership team. Nicola is prepared to contribute to discussions and offer challenge and support to the Principal, but is sensitive to the pressures under which they work. In addition, Nicola has an interest in education and the welfare of children whilst being willing to learn and attend relevant training.

Richard Pease
Principal
Principal at Maltby Lilly Hall Academy, Mr Pease was jointly responsible for improving the results profile of the school over a short period of time and was instrumental in moving Maltby Lilly Hall Academy from ‘Requires Improvement’ to ‘Good’ in 2021.
Formerly Vice-Principal of Maltby Redwood Academy, Mr Pease was an integral part of the leadership team which brought the school out of Special Measures to secure a ‘Good’ judgement in 2011.
As an outstanding teacher, he has a detailed and instinctive knowledge of teaching and learning and a proven ability to improve the practice of others.
He is recognised for his extensive knowledge of the curriculum and has worked across primaries in the Trust to raise attainment and progress, predominantly in Key Stage 2.
He is passionate about creating a culture where children and staff can flourish to the best of their ability – ensuring pupils are more than ready for the next phase of their education.
