We are thrilled to announce that the Early Years Centre at Maltby Lilly Hall Academy, is now open! This exciting project has transformed the former Linx building on Lilly Hall Road into a state-of-the-art Early Years facility, providing a welcoming, nurturing, and engaging environment for pre-nursery and nursery-aged children.
Our brand-new centre offers high-quality Early Years education, designed to support children's development through play-based learning, creativity, and exploration. With purpose-built indoor and outdoor spaces, we aim to provide the best possible start for young learners in a safe and inspiring setting.

1. Where is the new centre located?
It refurbishes the old Linx building on Lilly Hall Road, providing a modern and engaging space for our youngest learners.
2. Who is the Early Years Centre for?
The centre is designed for children in Pre-Nursery (2+ years) and Nursery (3–4 years), providing high-quality early education in a dedicated setting.
3. What are the opening hours?
The centre will follow the standard school term dates.
- Pre-Nursery - 8.00am - 3.30pm
- Nursery - 8.30am - 3.30pm
- Breakfast Club - 7.45am - 8.30am (Nursery children only)
Admissions & Eligibility
4. What age does my child need to be to start?
Pre-Nursery children can attend once they have turned 2 years old.
5. Is there a deadline for applications?
Yes, for nursery, applications must be submitted by 31 January (prior to starting in September). Late applications will be considered based on availability.
Am I entitled to 30 hours of childcare because I’m a working parent?

The new centre features modern classrooms, outdoor play areas, and modern learning resources tailored to early childhood development.
7. How will the space support my child’s learning?
The Early Years Centre is designed to foster creativity, curiosity, and independence through a play-based curriculum aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Settling In & Transition
8. How will you help children settle into the centre?
We will offer stay-and-play sessions, phased start options, and parent information meetings to ensure a smooth transition for all children.
Meals & Uniform
10. Will meals be provided?
No, we ask that parents/carers provide their child with a packed lunch and a healthy snack. Children will receive free school milk.
11. Will children need to wear a uniform?
Yes, pre-nursery and nursery children will follow the Maltby Lilly Hall Primary Academy uniform policy. Details can be found on our website.
