PASTORAL SUPPORT

   Miss Hydes, Pastoral Lead

WELCOME TO OUR PASTORAL PAGE

Maltby Lilly Hall Academy believe that all children should be given the opportunity to develop themselves and to gain and maintain outstanding personal qualities. Our pastoral provision underpins this ethos through bespoke intervention programmes and support, in addition to quality curriculum provision. We believe passionately in promoting children's mental health and wellbeing.

Many of our sessions include mixed age and ability groups, to give pupils an opportunity to work with a range of children outside their normal peer group, as well as individualised support.

We strive to provide as many children as possible with the opportunity to access these programmes throughout the school year, with a view to developing emotional regulation, manners, cultural awareness, thoughtfulness and responsibility.

Based in our 'Nurture Room' and Miss Hydes' room, dedicated pastoral spaces, our Pastoral team is wholeheartedly dedicated to children’s learning and believe that social, emotional and mental health is a major contributory factor in ensuring and enhancing children's ability to learn. The team has received extensive training in a wide area of issues and programmes to support our children including anger management, bereavement, attachment, child development, safeguarding matters and therapeutic strategies.
